Mindset Morning Routine
Mar 01, 2026Did you know that your morning routine can set your mindset up for the whole day? Do you currently have a morning mental routine? We have much more control of our mental health than we often believe.
Here are a few suggestions to start your morning off well for your mental health:
-Drink water with Celtic or Himalayan salt
- Get moving physically- stretch, walk, whatever is your favorite!
- Look in the mirror and tell yourself “I love you and I’m grateful for you”
- Eat protein for breakfast
- Write down your gratitude list and FEEL it in your heart
- Prayer/Meditation/Scripture/Connect with God
- Mentally rehearse how GOOD your day is going to be
- Review, say, and FEEL your vision board, dreams, and affirmations
- Read for a few minutes on an inspirational or self-improvement book
- Journal any thoughts, prayers, quotes, notes, or ideas
- Review your schedule and day; make any lists (can do this the night before if it’s more helpful)
- Listen to great, uplifting podcasts while driving to work
Powerful morning routines don’t have to be complicated; pick 1-3 items that work for you! Maybe you listen to a motivating podcast during your walk or review your gratitude while you eat breakfast. The key is to be consistent and make it a priority. Resist listening to the negative news or lower energy information first thing in the morning. It will make a difference!
