Divine Timing: Part 1

“There are years that ask questions and years that answer”- Zora Neale Hurston

“ I will restore the years the locust have stolen…” Joel 2:25- this Scripture where God assures us that He will restore what has been lost to locusts, symbolizes restoration and renewal after hardship. It emphasizes hope and divine intervention in trouble. I don’t know about you, but this verse has always been an encouragement to me when I am going through hard times or unexplainable challenges. I have seen God restore even more than “the locusts have stolen” and I have other areas where I am still holding faith for that restoration! It’s coming!

Many of you are aware that I created a course on the Divine Laws of Wealth or have attended some of my free live classes. You often hear me encourage you to apply the Law of Thinking, which is one of the most impactful laws, because our own thinking creates how we experience or create everything in our life. We either don’t know it or frankly we choose not to believe it. Mastering our mindset, perceptions, our re-actions, and our beliefs is a lifelong process.

One area that we often need to work on is what we believe, think, perceive, and how we live out these beliefs when it comes to the concept of physical time. Do you find yourself saying things like “there isn’t enough time”, “we’re going to be late”, “I’m always late”, “I’ll never get this done”, “I’m behind”, etc. Saying these words aloud verbally confirm what our subconscious  beliefs are programmed in us, silently directing everything we do. Sometimes we’ve been in a pattern for so long that it has become so deeply entrenched in us that we become hopeless, discouraged, and resigned about a change we’d like to make somewhere in our life.

These same beliefs can make us strive, hustle, grind, or quit, procrastinate, not even start, or accept a much lower level than we dreamed about. Or we act like petulant children who feel like we owed something right now. We want the nicest house we can dream of right now, whether we have the ability to pay for it or even the ability to care for it. I often talk with people who say “I’d love to have a homestead or ranch”. While there is nothing wrong with their dream, they also are not actively learning, practicing, or living any of that lifestyle. They are still sitting on the couch playing video games instead of taking a class on learning practical skills like food preservation or working for a farmer to learn practical animal husbandry. When it comes to TIME, we often want to be ahead, to drive and force things before they are ready. This also violates the Law of Gestation.

We often hear the concept of “DIVINE TIMING” and while it sounds good to say, are we really living in alignment and harmony with it? Do we keep a pleasant attitude while we wait or do we grumble while we wait? Do we give up our faith, trust, and belief in God while we wait?

Living in Divine Timing requires a new perspective as we begin the practice and embody it in real ways in our lives. Dr Wayne Dyer has influenced my thinking and perspective on Divine Timing. Here are a few helpful tips on:

  1.     It is never late or wrong- this causes you to relax because you ask “what am I being prepared for versus why is this happening?” It’s a re-direction versus a rejection
  2.     The ego works in time and sees delay; the soul lives in Truth and Truth is never rushed. A corn seed never argues with it’s Divine destiny of being a corn stalk and it submits to the season it is in
  3.     It doesn’t ask for your timeline, it asks for your trust! Transformation must occur first
  4.     You weren’t born to race a clock, you were born to awaken to the Divine
  5.     Listen instead of Force
  6.     Nothing that is meant for you will pass you by; it is unfolding in the unseen and preparing you
  7.     Unanswered prayers are protection, not punishment!
  8.     Divine timing shows energetically what you are ready to hold NOW; what vibration are you in? What you do frequently is your “frequency”!
  9.     God’s timing is not swayed by your fear, worry, and doubt; it is born from alignment and allowing
  10. Every piece of your story is being woven into something beautiful
