Physical Freedom in our Body and Health

In our previous Freedom series articles, we talked about freedom in our Thinking and in our Finances. How is it going answering the questions? Is it provoking you to think about some things or even make some changes in your life so you can have more lasting freedom in these areas?


Today we are tackling the topic of Physical Freedom, which includes our physical health and body, our freedom in our physical skills and competencies, physical possessions, and even the freedom we have in living in a free country.


Having a physical body that is in good shape for our age (or better) can be integral to living a fulfilling and long life. It gives us great freedom to fulfill our God given purposes, to serve our fellow man, and to enjoy our physical life while we are here on earth. Having freedom in our health and health care options is vital as well as our own physical skills and competencies.


As you read these questions, take the time to really think about your answers. Pray about them, journal about them, and see where you have increased awareness and can take some action.

We focus on having freedom in, with, and because of our physical possessions, our physical skills and, of course, being free in our country to easily live out our God-given rights. Ways to increase your freedom in your physical health:
1. Where do you feel the healthiest and most free in your physical body and health?
2. Where do you wish you had increased health?
3. Where have you been the most successful in building great health in your life?
4. Where do you feel the most “energetically congested” in your physical health and vitality?
5. Is the system of health you currently participate in for your healthcare actually helping you get healthier and stronger?
a. Can you see a measurable improvement in your health from it over the years?
b. Does it help you get off medications or keep you on them forever, making you dependent on the “system”?
6. Do you believe that you can heal yourself or that you are “victim” of outside circumstances with your health?
a. Where did you pick up these beliefs?
b. Are these beliefs helping you have your healthiest life?
c. Are you sensing that you might be ready to change them?
7. What are the general health levels of the 5 people you spend the most time with in your life?
8. When you look at your family of origin, who has a state of health you’d like to emulate?
a. Who is the healthiest?
b. Who is the sickest?
c. Do they exhibit vibrant health into a very old age?
9. What do you believe about your physical body?
10. How is your self-esteem related to your physical body’s function?
a. Your “looks”?
b. What society says is acceptable?
c. What you can physically do compared to others or your younger self?
11. Where is your intuition telling you you can improve your physical health and vitality?
12. What is one choice and action you can take today to improve your health?
13. Do you like to have a plan or system to follow when improving your health, or do you prefer to just “wing it” or trust your intuition?
14. What alternative systems of health have you learned about and implemented?
