Ways to Create More Emotional Freedom: Part 1

With this being the 250th birthday of America’s founding, we are keeping our focus on areas and ways to increase our freedom in our daily lives. We’ve covered freedom in our thinking, our finances, and our physical world. Today’s focus will be on EMOTIONAL freedom.
Ways to create more Emotional Freedom in your life:
Our emotions are a gift from God, the Divine. We can use them for good or to destroy things. Living in freedom requires us to use them for our own good, and the blessing of others. The more emotionally free and balanced you are, the greater impact you can have in our world for GOOD.
As always, take time to journal, pray, and really think through your responses to these questions. Some might elicit an emotional re-action from you! 😊 I am not a psychologist, but in my work as an Emotion & Belief Code Practitioner, daily I see the effect that suppressed emotions have on creating imbalances and dis-ease on every level in our world.
- Do I avoid feeling my emotions in any way, shape, or form?
- Do I feel more negative or positive emotions on a consistent basis?
- Do I do things to substitute for feeling my emotions, such as over- working, over or under eating, drugs, alcohol, avoiding people or conversations, or “stuffing” them down?
- Does my religion tell me I have to suppress my emotions?
- Do I feel like my emotions control me or that I have control over them?
- Is there a theme or specific emotion that shows up a lot as a pattern in my life, such as shame, sadness, anger, fear, control, grief, worthlessness, bitterness, theft, etc?
- Do I lash out on myself with poor self-talk such as calling myself a name or criticizing myself? (this is different than genuine self-reflection and growth)
- Do I lash out on others with blame, anger, and frustration regularly?
- Where have my emotions “cost” me in my life? A relationship, a job promotion, connection with others, believing in myself, or even my relationship with God?
- How often do I feel genuine love, peace, joy, and happiness for sustainable amounts of time?
- Do I know how the “grief cycle” works?
- Who in my life do I have trouble forgiving?
- Do I or have I forgiven myself for mistakes I’ve made
- Have I forgiven God for the hard things in my life I can’t explain or don’t have answers for?
- Do I know what makes me truly happy?
- How much of my life is lived to make other people happy but makes me unhappy or miserable?
- Do I know how to tell the difference between genuine, loving service towards others versus feeling obligated, coerced, or “required” to serve others?
- How is my own self talk? Do I speak lovingly and kindly to myself, as I would my best friend? Or am I mean and angry or hard on myself privately?
- Does your heart feel like it has a “wall” around it?
