Ways to increase FREEDOM in your Thinking
Nov 15, 2025In our last newsletter, we started the conversation about growing our FREEDOM in new ways, with a specific focus on our “thinking”. Increasing our levels of freedom in our thinking is a lifelong decision and practice. Here are a few helpful tips to get you started on this journey:
- Don’t believe everything you THINK; not every thought you have is from yourself!
- Observe your thoughts and ask how that thought helps you have your ideal life
- Make a list of your personal values and why they are important to you
- Observe where you are living consistently with your personal values or where you are mis-aligned with your values
- Define what “success” looks like to you in this stage of life- spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, relationally, etc
- Examine your beliefs in all areas of your life- family, religion, culture, community, work, health, relationships, money, etc. Which ones are helpful and which ones need to end?
- Have some Emotion/Body/Belief Code sessions with Karen to help energetically uproot any emotion, memory, or belief that might not be serving you anymore!
- Ask yourself, “In what ways or areas of my life do I do my own thinking and forming of my opinions? In what areas have I defaulted to what the media, my family, my culture, my religion, or school wants me to think?”
- How is unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, resentment, or envy tarnishing or limiting my freedom of thinking?
- What unhelpful beliefs or thoughts am I still getting an “energetic payoff” from? What old story am I rehashing where I still justify it to myself and feel an “energetic hit”?
- In what areas of my thinking have I given away my own free will or free agency to someone else?
- Are my thoughts more positive or negative in certain areas of my life?
- Pray about it and ask God to show you where you have thoughts that might not be helpful to you anymore.
- Are there any places, friends, or organizations that encourage me to think for myself that I can spend more time in?
- When I search for information, am I using multiple sources and considering what the motivation behind the source might be? Do I look for patterns, connections, deduce next steps, or possible outcomes with information?
- Are the opinions I hold, my own? Do I feel comfortable defending or sharing them if need be? Am I able to let other people hold their own opinions as well?
- How much time to I spend worrying about what other people might think about me?
- In what areas of my life does my THINKING cause me suffering? (ie, mental torment, racing thoughts, anxiety, etc)
- What things am I watching, reading, listening to, etc help feed a higher level of consciousness or bring me fear and frustration?
- Keep positive statements, Scriptures, affirmations, and reminders around to encourage you to think in higher ways
- Stop judging yourself, others, and situations so much (this is different than sticking with your personal values).
- In what areas do you want to control what other people think, say, and do?
- Ask a friend to be an accountability buddy and grow together
- How curious are you about life? Do you regularly cultivate a sense of wondor and curiosity by exploring new places, ideas, etc?
- Stop participating in gossip
- How do I view “change” in my life? As good or bad? Hard or easy? Excitement or dread?
- Stop endlessly scrolling on social media or watching tv, media constantly. They have their own agenda and it’s not always for your good!
- Expand your knowledge base by reading more books, taking classes, learning from different pastors, teachers, experts, and different sources of information than you might currently be doing.
- Are you living in FEAR or FAITH??
- Study the Law of Thinking, one of the Divine Laws of Wealth that I teach in my course
- Pray for wisdom and discernment and the ability to see truth in situations
- BELIEVE that you are FREE in every way!
I love this quote by Dr. Joe Dispenza “Your perspective becomes your personal reality. Then your personal reality becomes your personality!”
As I tell my coaching clients, be wise with what you are “paying attention” to because we “buy” those experiences energetically. Can you “afford” what you are “paying attention to”?
Whew, these questions are tough aren’t they? Remember, the intention here is to open your awareness up and allow you to make the changes you want and need to in order to live your best life.
This is a life long journey and it doesn’t have to be overly hard or heavy. Just start with one area and allow yourself the freedom and agency to move to a higher level. And, as always, you know you can reach out to me and chat!
