We are taught about scarcity in all things- money, opportunity, life, health, etc. Scarcity is part of an economic, religious, scholastic, government, and physical culture that we are taught. The powers that be teach us fear of not having enough or catastrophizing things like “climate change”, “recession”, “pandemic”, war and famine by only telling you part of the story. This fear allows us to be controlled, manipulated, and enslaved.  How many times do you hear that “opportunity is monopolized” or “the rich guys have all the money so we can never get ahead”? Sometimes this fear mongering and scarcity prompts us to take action but mostly it holds us in a place of anger, fear, control, lack, limitation, and inertia. Does that feel like an abundant way to live your life? NO! Nothing is created in fear except more fear!

In truth, there is NO LACK of anything we need or want because of the Law of Infinite Supply. When the Lord completed creation, He said “It is Finished”.  (Gen 2:1-3) You’ve probably never given much thought to this verse.  But what does it really mean and why is it important when we are working with money or any resource? Simply put, EVERYTHING you could possibly need or want is already here in this world but sometimes we are unaware of where it is or how to get it.

Our lack comes because we do not have the awareness of where there is more supply, nor do we BELIEVE that supply is unlimited. We look at our checkbook with its $500 balance and the bills in front of us total $700. At the moment, our physical brain is saying “Yikes! I’m short $200 and our thoughts spiral out of control leaving us in despair, fear, and pain.

How many times have you been working on a project and you hit a roadblock? The ideas just aren’t coming and there is a deadline looming. You realize you’ve hit your upper limits of your knowledge or capacity and you know you must go beyond your current state to get the breakthrough you need.

Whenever you feel like you don’t have answers, to whom do you turn to for those answers? Sometimes it will be friends, family, an expert in the field, or a source of established wisdom. But do you ever turn to your intuition and God? God is our true Source of all we need; the problem is that we do not BELIEVE that and therefore we do not live like it. Do you prefer to SEE before you BELIEVE? In our human form, we often default to that viewpoint. Even in this moment, what problem has burdened your mind and soul? Is it lack of money or health? Or how to help a struggling family member?

What if you tried the opposite and engaged your FAITH and began to BELIEVE? Even if you don’t consider yourself connected to God or very religious, we operate in faith in all areas. Every morning when you go out to get into your car, you operate in complete faith that it will start and safely carry you to your destination. You hardly even think about it; you just do it. What if you had that level of trust in God’s Law of Infinite Supply for your monetary needs? For your biggest dreams and goals to come to fruition? ASK God for help! Scripture tells us “Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7. It doesn’t say “ask on Tues at 10am if you are having a great day or ask once you have your ducks in a row or your children are perfectly behaving”!

I’ll share an example from my own life: I recently had a large bill due at the doctor’s office and the money wasn’t in my regular budget as it was an unexpected occurrence. Instead of panicking about the large amount, I began to ask God to show me where the supply would or could come from. Remember, money can come from ANYWHERE! Later that week, I booked a new client for 2 sessions (supply through work), then a check arrived unexpectedly from a client who had failed to pay me 2 years ago (wow), I found an envelope of money in a drawer I had forgotten about (surprise!) and a friend gave me a gift of money because she had felt in her heart from God to bless me even though she didn’t even know about the doctor bill.  All of the supply will go a long way in paying that bill and I have no doubt that the rest will come too. I bless it all with gratitude and joy.
